Eleanor MillsEleanor Marshall Mills, 91, of Cuba died at 4:52 p.m. Jan. 22, 2012, at Clayberg Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 31, 1920, in rural Canton, a daughter of Arthur and Esther McKane Churchill. She married Martin Marshall on Sept. 25, 1941, in Hannibal, Mo. He died May 22, 1975. She later married Jack Mills on Nov. 29, 1987. He died May 10, 1993.

She also was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Chip Williams; one great-great-grandson, Eligh Griffith; two brothers, John and Ralph Churchill; and one sister, Helen Courtney.

Surviving are one daughter, Martha Weaver of Cuba; one son, Terry L. Marshall of Cuba; one brother, Edward (and Virgie) Churchill of Ipava; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was a bookkeeper for Marshall Plumbing and Heating from 1947-60. She later was co-owner of Marshall Furniture from 1960-75 and was sole owner of the furniture store from 1975-91.

She was a member of Fiatt Independent Christian Church, Rebekah Lodge, Cuba American Legion Auxiliary and Fiatt Pinochle Club. She also had been a volunteer at Clayberg Nursing Home and Graham Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at her church with Reverend Jim Menne officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba. Cremation will be accorded after the services. Inurnment will be in Cuba Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Fiatt Independent Christian Church, Rebekah Lodge or Grant Keime Memorial Fund.
