Wanda MyersWanda L. Myers, 85, of Ipava died at 3:37 a.m. April 3, 2010, at home.

She was born June 23, 1924, in Table Grove, a daughter of Ralph H. and Zelma (Danner) Danner. She married Merlin Myers on July 11, 1943, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 2008.

She also was preceded in death by twin sons, Ralph and Russell Myers; two sisters, Helen Gallagher and Marjorie Conner; and one brother, Richard Danner.

Surviving are four sons, Wayne Myers of Rochester, Minn., Jerry (and Pat) Myers of Eddyville, Ky., James (and Pat) Myers of Columbia Heights, Minn., and Steve (and Sharon) Myers of Kansas, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and farmer’s wife. She sang and entertained residents at area nursing homes, and was active in the quilting club at Lewistown United Methodist Church.

She was a charter member of Berean Christian Church in Ipava where she taught Sunday school, played the piano, lead singing, was an Elder’s wife and volunteered in all areas of the church.

Services were held Tuesday at her church with Doug Krukewitt officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
