Gregory Miller

Gregory Alan Miller, 51, of Sullivan, Ind., formerly of rural Browning, was pronounced dead Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, near Sullivan. He was thrown from his pickup truck.

He was born Sept. 22, 1950, in Beardstown, a son of Edwin C. and Velma Schall Miller. He married Candy Ludwick on Feb. 25, 1985, in Clay County, Ind. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Springfield; two sons, William (and Lorili) of Pekin and Jon (and Misty) of Browning; one daughter, Carla Nero of Kansas; five grandchildren; and one brother, Edwin Jr. (and Linda) of Browning.

He was employed by Black Beauty Coal Mine in Farmersburg, Ind. He also owned and operated Miller Welding in Sullivan.

He was a member of Astoria Church of the Brethren.

Graveside services with burial of ashes will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mud Valley Cemetery, south of Astoria. There will be no visitation. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
