Ethel Moore, 106, of East Peoria died at 6:25 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, at ManorCare in Riverview.
She was born Jan. 9, 1891, in Fulton County, near Astoria, a daughter of Sylvester and Rebecca McKinley Markley. She married Clarence B. Moore on April 15, 1914, in Iowa. He died June 5, 1944, in Peoria. Two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one sister, Helen Strmac of Peoria; and one brother, Roy Markley of Vermont.
She was a self-employed dressmaker in the First National Bank building for many years and later worked in her home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Bible church.
Services were held Tuesday at Wilton Mortuary with Rev. Steve Weber officiating. Burial was in Springdale Cemetery.
