Shelby B. Moose

Shelby B. Moose, 91, of Plymouth, died at 8:43 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 1992, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Nov. 20, 1900, in Astoria, a son of Samuel and Allie Prather Moose. He married Mildred Burkholder in Peoria on Oct. 16, 1922. She preceded him in death on June 20, 1992. Also preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Marvin and Glenn.

Surviving are one son, Carroll of Plymouth; one granddaughter, Pamela Bonnell of Plymouth; two great grandsons, Travis and Greg Bonnell of Plymouth; and one brother, Russell of Berwyn.

He farmed in his early life and then worked for Cunningham Ice Cream Co. in Chicago and later for Bowman Dairy in Chicago. He then worked for Wilde Wholesale in Macomb before retiring in 1956. He was a member of the Bethel Church and the Men's Brotherhood of the Bethel Church. He had lived in Astoria, Lewistown and Chicago and moved back to Plymouth in 1956.

Funeral services were held Monday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Cheryl Henson officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Bethel Church.
