Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the E. U. B. Church for Samuel B. Moose, 88, who died Saturday morning in the Mason District Hospital in Havana. He had been ill about two years.
Mr. Moose was born October 13, 1871, in Astoria to Jacob and Harriett Kidd Moose. He married Allie Prather in Astoria in 1899. She died in 1918.
Survivors include four sons, Shelby of Colchester, Marvin of Chicago, Russell of Berwyn, and Glenn of Astoria, 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and one brother, Jake Moose of Canton.
He was a member of the E. U. B. Church. The Rev. J. H. Ruberg, pastor of the church, officiated at the service and burial was in the Astoria cemetery.
