ESSIE O. (LAWVER) McDONALD

Essie McDonald Dies Jan. 7

Essie O. McDonald, 83, formerly of Summum, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 1990, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville.

She was born Oct. 3, 1906, at Ipava, a daughter of Joseph and Minnie (Hopping) Lawver. She married Ray E. McDonald on Jan. 29, 1927. He preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 1974.

She was also preceded in death by an infant brother and two sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Twila E. Pelton of Wataga; one grandson, Roy Lee Rhinburger of Summum; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Huff of Vermont and Velma Munson of San Ramon, Calif.; and one brother, Wayne Lawver of Lewistown.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Steve Castaneda officiating. Burial will be in the Summum Cemetery.
