Verlyn “Bud” Mayall, 34, of Quincy, formerly of Vermont, was found dead Friday afternoon, July 5, 1985, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 2, 1950, at Macomb, a son to Verlyn L. and Helen Louise Gray Mayall. He married Diane Kost on April 11, 1970, in Vermont. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents, of Ipava; two sons, Brad and Doug, both at home; his grandmother, Mrs. Olive Mayall of Ipava; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lucille Gray of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight sisters, Mrs. Judy Reneau of Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Sandra Blemler of Normal, Mrs. Linda Schisler of Ipava, Mrs. Sharon Thomson and Mrs. Peggy Hoyt, both of Macomb, Mrs. Mary Wherley and Mrs. Janice Steele, both of Table Grove and Mrs. Gayle Stoklosa of Prophetstown; and one brother, Rodney Mayall of Ipava.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers.
He was a farmer and former service station owner and operator in Vermont.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Tim Gilliland officiating. Burial was in the Ipava Cemetery.
Memorials contributions may be made to a trust fund for his sons, Brad and Doug.
