MIDRA W. (BEATTY) MARKLEY

Mrs. Midra Markley Of Knoxville Dies

Mrs. Midra W. Markley, 61, of 278 S. Ontario, Knoxville, died at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 1978, at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.

She was a member of Orange Chapel Church, south of Knoxville; the WSC of the church; and Ellisville Rebekah Lodge.

She was born in Fulton County Aug. 21, 1917, a daughter of Hiriam and Nellie Shawgo Beatty. She married Turner Markley Jan. 26, 1938, at Fairview.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Joseph G. of Knoxville and Norman S. of Rio; two brothers, Charlie L. Beatty of East Peoria and Carroll E. Beatty of Cuba; one sister, Mrs. Lundry (Mary Edith) Beam of Smithfield; her mother of Astoria; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Martin-Trumbold Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Ochsner and Rev. Charles Sensel officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery at Fairview.

Memorials may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society.
