Dale Lutz

Dale A. Lutz, 80, of Vermont died at 4:30 a.m. Jan. 9, 2018, at Select Acute Care in Eureka.

He was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Table Grove, a son of Toler and Ethel White Lutz. He married Nancy J. Bourke on May 23, 1986, in Peoria. She preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 2006.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Dale A. Lutz Jr.; four sisters; and two brothers.

Surviving are one daughter, Jacquelyn Hammer of Peoria; two stepdaughters, Lisa Gresham of Washington, Ill., and Cynthia Stapleton of Mattoon; one brother, Charles Lutz of Ipava; one sister, Eleanor Willamee of Pekin; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was a machine operator for Caterpillar Tractor Company.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps. veteran.

He was a member of UAW Local 974.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No services planned at this time. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
