Phillip Little, 86, of Lexington, Ky., died at 6:20 a.m. June 28, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born June 14, 1930, a son of Roman and Lula Little of Astoria. He married Joan Derry on Nov. 19, 1952.
Surviving are two sons, Mike (and Vickie) Little of Owensboro, Ky., and Ron (and Penny) Little of Lexington, Ky.; one sister, Nancy Heitz of Vermont; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jim; and two sisters, Shirley and Mary Ellen.
During his working years, he was a farmer, in insurance sales, worked for AMAX Coal Company, and most recently, he worked for Bio Soil Enhancers, Inc. of Hattiesburg, Miss.
He served his country in the Air Force.
He attended Third Baptist Church in Marion for 39 years. He and Joan joined Third Baptist Church on Oct. 7, 1979. As a church member, he was faithful in Sunday school and worship service attendance and also served as a deacon and choir member.
A memorial service was held at his church on July 3. Graveside service and burial was held at Astoria Cemetery.
