Violet LashbrookViolet May Lashbrook, 82, of Beardstown died at 2:54 a.m. Jan. 31, 2010, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

She was born Oct. 11, 1927, in Lewistown, a daughter of Onzelo and Anna Bell Ackerson Harn. She married Richard Carl Lashbrook on July 12, 1944, in Rushville. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn (and Butch) Donithan of Oklahoma and Mary Ellen (and Dale) Root of Rushville; two sons, Gus Alvin (and Marsha) Lashbrook of Rushville and Richard Earl Lashbrook and friend, Steve Hayden of Springfield; one brother, Donald Harn of Oklahoma; one sister, Doris Baker of Rushville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.

She was a lifelong homemaker but also worked for a short time at Bluebell Factory in Bushnell.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Rushville City Cemetery with Mr. David Haney officiating.
