Walter Leach, 55, of Rushville, died at 1:04 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 23, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
He was born Feb. 6, 1930, in Vermont, a son of James and Addie Phillips Leach. He married Virginia Surratt on Oct. 22, 1951, in Nashua, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Donna) Mustread and Ms. Carol Mustread, both of Rushville, and Mrs. Huey (Linda) Cain of Carmi; two sons, Walter (Bud) Leach of Chester, and Danny A. Leach of Lockport; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Verda) Sullivan of Rushville, Mrs. Glenn (Nina) Burklund of Moline and Mrs. Dale (Letha) Brinton of Huron, Tenn.; and one brother, James Leach Jr. of East Moline.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Rev. Paul Sellers officiating. Burial was in the Rushville Cemetery.
