He was born on Oct. 20, 1881, in Kerton Township, a son of James and Sarah Wrestler Lockard. He married Tessie Trone in July of 1900 at Pekin. She died in October of 1962.
Surviving are a son, Lawson W. Lockard and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Ida) Merrill, both of Canton; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great, great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ida Lind of Astoria. A daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Hopping and a brother died earlier.
Mr. Lockard retired from Lock’s Ford Town in 1963.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. this morning at Oaks Memorial Chapel in Canton with Rev. Ted Clark officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
