Mrs. Susan Lind, an aged lady, passed away at 9:45 o’clock this morning at the Wickert house, where she has been cared for the past ten months.
Susan Wherley Lind was born Nov. 1, 1854 in York County, Pa., a daughter of John and Katherine Stremmel Wherley. She was married to Abram Lind in 1877. He preceded her in death Feb. 4, 1942. There are no children.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Sarah Swartzbaugh of New Philadelphia and one brother, Conrad Wherley of Astoria. Five sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
She is a member of the Dunkard Brethren Church, south of Astoria.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the South Fulton church, Rev. Howard Dickey of Deer Creek, Ill., officiating. Burial at South Fulton cemetery.
Friends may call at the Shawgo Memorial Home until the hour of the funeral.
