Bill KinselWilliam “Bill” Kinsel, 83, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Cuba, died July 8, 2023.

He was born Sept. 28, 1939, in Canton, a son of Clarence F. and C. Mary Whitney Kinsel. He married Kathleen (Lafferty) Kinsel in February, 1960. She preceded him in death in 1997. He later married Reina (Ryan) Kinsel of Ohio in May, 1998. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Kelli (and Kent) Canevit, Kristi Martin (and Jim Trotter) and Mike Ryan; one brother, Bob (and Lucille) Kinsel; two sisters, Joyce Johnson and Doris (and Ronny) Simmons; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Kent W. Kinsel and Tony Ryan; three brothers; and one sister.

He was a mechanic at Lock’s Ford Town in Canton and later worked at International Harvester in Canton. He transferred with Harvester to Ohio and retired there in 1999. He repaired saddles, bridles and horse gear for the area horse enthusiasts.

In 1982, he became a Christian.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton with a visitation held one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
