C. Mary Kinsel, 89, of Canton, died at 8:56 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 1999, at Graham Hospital.
She was born March 4, 1910, in Abertillery, South Wales, England, the daughter of Walter Charles and Anna Goode Whitney. She married Clarence Franklin Kinsel on April 5, 1927, in Golden Eagle. He died Oct. 8, 1948.
Two sons, Clarence “Poke” and Charles “Jake”, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Sherman “Bud” and Robert, both of Canton, and William of Springfield, Ohio; three daughters, Carolyn Saunders of Astoria, Mrs. Ronald (Joyce) Johnson of Canton and Mrs. Ronny (Doris) Simmons of Indianapolis; 22 grandchildren, including Pamela Trone of Astoria; 44 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Canton and Women of the Moose Lodge 369.
Services were held today at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with the Rev. Joseph Ewoodzie officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
