He was born July 20, 1939, in Eldorado Township, McDonough County, a son of Eldon “Peasle” and Frances Smith Kendrick. He married Luan Teel on Feb. 10, 1957, in Macomb. She preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2018.
He also was preceded in death by one son, Robert “Rob” Kendrick; and four siblings, Lonnie Kendrick, Sandra Sue Kendrick-Spangler, Connie Kendrick-Chenoweth and Scotty Kendrick.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathy (and Dan) Cassidy of Table Grove and Rhonda Kendrick of Industry; four siblings, Danny (and Barb) Kendrick and Larry (and Lisa) Kendrick, both of Vermont, John (and Debbie) Kendrick of Industry and Juanita (and David) Hammock of Astoria; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He lived in the Table Grove community all of his life and was a lifelong farmer. He started farming with his dad, Peasle and farmed until he retired in 2007.
He was a member of the Table Grove Fire and Rescue Squad, Eldorado Township Trustee, VIT School District Board and the Vermont Masonic Lodge #116.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Mike Ulmer officiating. Masonic services will be conducted by the Vermont Lodge at 2 p.m. to start the services. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Harris Cemetery west of Table Grove.
