She was born Nov. 14, 1937, in Rushville, a daughter of Gilbert and Julia Prunty Allen. She married Waldo Kindhart.
Surviving are three children, Lisa Bray of Utica, Dale (and Gail) Kindhart of LaGrange, Mo., and Gene Kindhart of Dalzell; one sister, Judy Robeson of Rushville; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry Allen, Ferris “Bud” Allen and Terry Allen.
She was a graduate of Golden High School and Quincy Beauty School. She operated a beauty salon from her home in Clayton for several years. She also worked at Quinssippi Nursing Home and Blessing Hospital, both in Quincy.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sims Cemetery, west of Camden, with Pastor Dan Wise officiating. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
