Carol Kelly

Carol Mae Kelly, 75, of Ipava died at 3:45 a.m. Dec. 2, 2010, at her home.

She was born Sept. 9, 1935, in Canton, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy Sims Keime. She married Herschel D. Kelly on Oct. 28, 1956, in Smithfield. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2009.

She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Casey Dean Kelly.

Surviving are two sons, David Kelly of Ipava and John (and Sharon) Kelly of Fairview; one brother, Paul (and Nell) Keime of Smithfield; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was a homemaker. She also worked at Day and Palin in Lewistown and took care of elderly in the Lewistown area. She was a cake decorator for over 35 years.

She was a member of Lewistown Business and Professional Women, Prime Time Club and Fulton County Couples Club. She was a Republican Election Judge in Pleasant Township for many years. She was a leader of the Pleasant Spacemakers 4H Club for 10 years, the Fulton Central HEA for 50 years.

She was a member of Smithfield Church of the Nazarene.

Services were held Monday at her church with Reverend Layton Malone officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her church or Harbor Lights Hospice in Galesburg.
