Paul KeimePaul David Keime, 74, of Smithfield died at 1 a.m. Nov. 13, 2012, at his home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1938, in Canton, the son of Earl Robert and Dorothy Lilabell Sims Keime. He married Nellie Bair on Aug. 2, 1958, in Vermont. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Robert (and Kay) Keime of Peoria; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Kelly.

He attended Hall Country School and Medley School where he was the only boy in his class. He later attended Smithfield Grade School and graduated from Cuba High School.

He worked for Spoon River FS for 25 years.

He was a member of Smithfield Church of the Nazarene and NRA. He was a former Cub Scout leader, volunteer fireman, served as a trustee and treasurer for Smithfield Fire Department and trustee for Smithfield Village Board.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smithfield Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Layton Malone officiating. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in rural Smithfield. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba.
