Laura L. Kaffenberger, 76, of 1109 Garm Ave., Beardstown, died at Schmitt Memorial Hospital in Beardstown at 1:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 1975.
She was born Jan. 17, 1899, in Brown County, a daughter of Henry and Nora Dunmire Baehr. On Aug. 11, 1924, she was married to Joseph M. Kaffenberger in Mt. Sterling. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Joseph H. Kaffenberger of Beardstown; two daughters, Mrs. Verle (Larella) Stambaugh of Astoria and Mrs. Lyndie (Mary Ellen) Ferguson of Beardstown; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Herman Baehr of Edwardsville, Henry Baehr and Lafe Baehr, both of Beardstown; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Roate of Knoxville and Mrs. Evelyn Glover of Beardstown. Two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning at Cline Funeral Home in Beardstown with Rev. Glen Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
Friends may call at Cline’s Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
