He was born Sept. 8, 1950, at home in rural Huntsville, the son of Morland and Irene Isadore Knous Jones. He married Marilyn L. Barker on Sept. 18, 1971, in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother; one daughter, Jennifer K. Jones; two sons, Craig L. (and Michele) Jones and William L. (and Bettie) Jones; one sister, Patricia Ann (and John) Zulauf of Mt. Zion; one aunt, Algia M. Jones of Huntsville; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Sharon Jones.
He was a graduate of Rushville High School in 1969 and received his associates degree in diesel mechanics from Spoon River College in Canton. After graduation he began his employment at Eicken Implement. He later worked full time on the farm where he raised grain and livestock.
He was a member of Camden Lodge #648 AF & AM, Order of the Eastern Star, Quincy Consistory AASR and Schuyler Farm Bureau.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Dixie Croxton officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Masonic Rites were conducted by Camden Lodge #648 AF & AM.
