He was born Oct. 31, 1926, at home in Camden Township, Schuyler County, a son of O. K. and Iva Morrell Jones. He married Irene Knous on June 2, 1947, in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Sheldon (and Marilyn) Jones of Huntsville; one daughter, Patricia Ann (and John) Zulauf of Mount Zion; one sister, Algia Jones of Huntsville; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Jones; and one brother, Columbus Jones.
He was a lifelong farmer in the Camden and Huntsville areas.
He was a member and past master of Camden Lodge #648, AF and AM.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Dixie Croxton officiating. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Masonic services to be held at 8 p.m. by Camden Masonic Lodge # 648 AF and AM.
