Almalee Johnson

Almalee Johnson, 75, of Bushnell died at 7:41 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2003, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Sept. 5, 1927, in Ipava, a daughter of Gail and Edith Kelly Taber. She married Robert Heaton on Feb. 23, 1945. He died May 17, 1957. She married Harold Johnson on Dec. 27, 1958. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Gary (and Jonalyn) Heaton of Monmouth and Jerry (and Debbie) Heaton of Bushnell; three daughters, Sue (and Rick) Stambaugh of Ipava, Vicky (and John) Howard of New Philadelphia and Terry (and Tom) Carley of Prairie City; three sisters, Imogene Hammond, Caroline Yazvec and Ann Wys, all of Ipava; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one infant sister.

She was a member of the Breast Cancer Support Group of Macomb.

She was active in the Spoon River Drive.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Rev. Mary Jo Williams officiating. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
