Harold A. Johnson, 84, of Bushnell died at 12:05 a.m. Dec. 13, 2011, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Prairie City, the son of Elmer L. and Emily Richter Johnson. He married Almalee Taber Heaton on Dec. 27, 1958, in Pittsfield. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2003.

He also was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Lomax.

Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Gary (and Jonalyn) Heaton of Monmouth, Jerry (and Debbie) Heaton of Bushnell, Sue (and Rick) Stambaugh of Ipava, Vicky (and John) Howard of New Philadelphia and Terry (and Tom) Carley of Prairie City; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He worked at Butler Mfg. in Galesburg for 35 years.

He was a member of Gin Ridge Wood Carvers and American Legion.

Services were held Friday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
