Lloyd HaleLloyd H. Hale, 97, of Camden died at 1 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville.

He was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Camden Township, Schuyler County, a son of Homer L. and Lola Frieda Taylor Hale. He married Florence Evelyn McClelland on Dec. 20, 1941. She preceded him in death in 2013.

He also was preceded in death by one daughter, Leigh Ann Bollinger; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Brooke Agans Barnewolt; one brother, Donald Hale; and one sister, Rubie Trone.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Sue Skiles of Normal and Doris Jean Agans of Camden; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was a Rushville High School Class of 1941 graduate, a charter member of the local FFA chapter, member of Rushville First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a lifelong farmer.

Services were held Monday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Bill Rucker officiating. Burial was in the Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to his church or the Schuyler County Humane Society.
