Doris AgansDoris “Dee” Agans, 72, of Camden died at 3:14 p.m. Sept. 26, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

She was born May 3, 1949, in Macomb, a daughter of Lloyd and Florence McClelland Hale.

Surviving are two daughters, Heather Agans and Haley (and Chad) Kelly, both of Rushville; one sister, Donna Skiles of Normal; three grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Hannah Barnewolt; one sister, Leigh Ann Bollinger; and her fiancée, Frank Kirkpatrick.

She was a 1967 graduate of Rushville High School and a 1968 graduate of Quincy Beauty Academy. She first worked as a hairdresser at Clarice’s Beauty Shop. She later worked part-time for Cass Cable in Rushville. In 1985, she began her career as an Administrative Coordinator with the Schuyler County Soil and Water Conservation District in Rushville, retiring in 2011. She also was a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator.

She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rushville.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Bill Rucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Rushville.

Memorials may be made to the Schuyler County Humane Society.
