She was born July 22, 1932, in Brown County, a daughter of Everett and Evelyn Manlove Sorrells. She married Melvin Hendricks on May 10, 1951, in Brown County. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Mark (and Jenniffer) Hendricks of Rushville; two daughters, Candy Anderson of Rushville and Cathy Rigg of Industry; one brother, Randy Sorrells of Lewistown; one sister, Dorothy Cleavinger of East Galesburg; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Joseph Hendricks; two grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Hendricks and Joshua Levi Hendricks; four brothers, Bill Sorrells, Mike Sorrells, Gary Sorrells and Donnie Sorrells; and one sister, Shirley Olinger.
She was a loving wife. The oldest of eight children, she began her youth as caretaker for her younger siblings.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Matthew Thiner officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.
