She was born June 9, 1937, in Rushville, a daughter of Donald Edward and Ruby Fern Chapman Etter. She married Neal Hartman on Feb. 10, 1957, in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Lisa Camerer of Rockford, Lori (and Chet) Esther of Frederick, Lynai (and Charles) Howell of Springfield and Lonna (and Robert) Grenlund of Rushville; three sisters, Joanne (and Bernard) Heath of Adair, Judy (and Gene) Grafton of Littleton and Joyce (and Bill) Palmer of Rushville; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Derek Edward Grenlund.
She worked for Franklin Life Insurance in Springfield. She also worked for Schuyler County Mutual Insurance, Billingsley Insurance and Hannant-Ward Insurance, all in Rushville, before retiring.
She was a member of Rushville First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school. She was a Girl Scout leader for several years.
Funeral services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Fred Fritz officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
