Ruby F. Etter, 87, of Astoria, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 1997, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Aug. 31, 1909, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Artie and Nettie Fetch Chapman. She married Donald E. Etter on May 16, 1935, in Oregon, Ill. He died Aug. 2, 1993. One great-grandson also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four daughters, Jeanne Hartman, Judy Grafton and Joyce Palmer, all of Rushville, and Joanne Heath of Adair; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was a bookkeeper. She was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Dan Ormand officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Astoria Township Cemetery Association or her church.
