Joseph “Tony” Hennings, 72, of Vermont, died at 3:41 p.m. Aug. 27, 2015, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Lake City, Min., the son of Lester and Marian Roschen Hennings. He married Tana Leighty on Aug. 28, 1970, in Vermont. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2005.

Surviving are two sons, Tim (and Amy) Hennings of Milan and Tyler (and Jenny) Hennings of Monmouth; and three grandchildren.

He was a graduate of Macomb High School. He worked as a draftsman for McClure Engineering for many years before retiring in 2007.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1960-63.

Graveside services were held Monday at Pennington Point Cemetery west of Adair, with full military rites conducted by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW. Cremation rites have been accorded. Clugston-Tibbits Funeral Home of Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
