Lester A. Hennings, 82, of Vermont died at 6:22 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 1995, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born June 24, 1912, in Red Wing, Minn., a son of Earl G. and Katherine Schloer Hennings. He married Marian Emma Anna Roschen on Aug. 7, 1942, in Sioux Falls, S.D. She died Dec. 12, 1994, in Macomb. One sister also preceded him in death.
Surviving are one son, Joseph A. of Vermont; one brother, Bernard of Wabasha, Minn.; and two grandchildren.
He was a patternmaker at Ken-Ray Foundry for 22 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge, both in Macomb.
Cremation was accorded. Memorial graveside services were Thursday at Vermont Cemetery, with Rev. David H. Swan officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were by Kost Memorial Home.
Memorials may be made to Vermont Rescue Squad or his church.
