James Herink Dies Dec. 1

James Eugene Herink, 62, died Dec. 1, 1985.

He was a native of Canton and served in the Air Force for 26 years and retired in 1972 as a master sergeant. During his Air Force career he was stationed in Sacramento for about seven years and returned in 1974. He worked in the major appliance department at the J.C. Penney store at Country Club Plaza for 10 years, retiring last year.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughter, Terry Herink of Carmichael; a son, Daniel of North Highlands; two grandchildren; and four brothers, Roy, Frank, Arthur and Homer, all of Illinois. (Arthur of Vermont.)

There were no services held.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army in Mr. Herink’s name.
