CARRIE ELIZABETH (LOCKARD) HUFF

Mrs. Cleve Huff, of Near Summum, Dies Monday

Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth Huff, 71, died Monday morning in her home near Summum, where she had been a resident all her life. Although Mrs. Huff had been ill for several years and under a physician’s care, her death was unexpected.

Born Nov. 20, 1885 in Isabel township, a daughter of Daniel and Mary (Coney) Lockard, she was married on Jan. 4, 1905 to Cleve Huff, who survives.

Surviving also are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Shields in Havana, a granddaughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Long of Rushville, and a half-sister, Mrs. Emma Lutz, Mesa, Ariz.

She was a member of the Pythian Sisters.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the Summum Christian church, of which she was a member, by the Revs. Fred Thompson and Matthew Ikeda. Burial in Summum cemetery.

The Shawgo Memorial Home had charge of the services.
