ROY R. GORE

Roy R. Gore, 86, of Ipava, died at 10:32 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born Sept. 6, 1910, in Dunfermline, a son of William and Zada Krider Gore. He married Mary Weese on Aug. 31, 1940, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are one brother, Denzel Gore of Lewistown; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

He was a building superintendent for the Spoon River Electric Co-op. A World War II Army veteran, he was a 50-year member of Ipava American Legion Post 17. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Macomb and Ipava Masonic Lodge 217, AF&AM. He was a 50-year member of the United Presbyterian Church in Ipava.

Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. William Abernethy officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
