DENZEL A. GORE

Denzel A. Gore, 93, of Lewistown, died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at Prairieview Care Center.

He was born Aug. 29, 1905, in Bryant, a son of William and Zada Krider Gore.

Surviving are one nephew, Bill Mosher of Bloomington; and three nieces, Hazel Nelson of Holbrook, Ariz., Donna Duby of Nenana, Alaska, and Janet Goebel of Wallowa, Ore.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific theater as a carpenters mate first class in the 21st Construction Battalion of the Seabees. A member of the Carpenters Union, he was a carpenter in the Canton area before retiring.

Graveside services were held this morning at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Pereboom officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
