Jeanie E. Gaston, 61, of Beardstown, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 1996, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Dec. 30, 1934, in Winchester, a daughter of Reed and Nellie Reed Lisenbee. She married Calvin B. Gaston on Nov. 12, 1968, in Waynesville. He preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister.
Surviving are four sons, Larry W. Surratt of Monmouth, Joe D. Surratt of Astoria, Richard D. Surratt of Virginia, and George H. Surratt III of Baucomville, La.; two daughters, Shirley J. Wittler of Mendon and Judy E. Stephenson of Beardstown; three brothers, Thomas Lisenbee of Niota, Sam Lisenbee of Lewistown, and Bill Lisenbee of Rushville; and four sisters, Rose Lawrence of Astoria, Betty Nash of Ripley, Barbara Thurman of Coweta, Okla.; and Georgia Yowell of Jacksonville; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. Burial was in the Ripley Cemetery in Ripley.
