He was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Beardstown, a son of Riley M. and Gladys M. Vaughn Fisher. He married Willa Swan on Oct. 28, 1956, in Beardstown. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2013.
He also was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Welker; one granddaughter, Jessica Fisher; one sister, Judy Silsby; and three brothers, Ron Fisher, Riley Fisher Jr. and Larry Smith Fisher.
Surviving are three sons, Dick (and Linda) Fisher and Hank Fisher, both of Summum, and Joe (and Angie) Fisher of Astoria; one daughter, Jody Davis of Astoria; one brother, Norm (and Reba) Fisher of Beardstown; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was a farmer and laborer for Pekin 231. He was a member of the Coon Hunters Association.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in the Summum Cemetery at a later date.
Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
