She was born Nov. 13, 1932, in Summum, a daughter of Floyd and Mabel Peek Parr. She married Russell Gene Edwards on Dec. 1, 1951, in Summum. He survives.
Also surviving are four children, Colin (and Kathy) Edwards of Canton, Laurie (and Todd) Baker of West Peoria, Shawn (and Gina) Edwards of Mapleton and Jennifer (and Mark) Dwyer of Bloomington; four siblings, Emily Ayoub of Peoria, Thelma (and Frank) Taylor of Rushville, Dale (and Cheryl) Parr of Lewistown and Connie Parr of Macomb; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Norma Bowen, Stanley Parr, Betty Coats, Sandra Stonecipher, Linda Tatro, Sue Parr and Ronnie Parr.
Faith guided her life. She served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Burial will take place at Astoria Cemetery. No public services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
