He was born April 7, 1963, in Rushville, a son of Robert J. and Bernita Hoffmeier Edwards. He married Shari Murray on Aug. 31, 1984, in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Chris (and Amber) Edwards of Fairbury, Emma (and Jake Hendricks) Bentz of Arenzville and Kelli (and Curtis Terwelp) Edwards of Rushville; brothers and sisters, Joe (and Vickie) Edwards of Frederick, Terrie (and Mike) Loughary of Beardstown and Susan Crook of Rushville; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Steve Edwards.
He first worked as a baker at Kozy Korner in Rushville. He was currently a custodian at Webster School in Rushville, having begun on June 18, 1987. He also worked for Bruiser’s food stand.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rushville, and a member of the Antique Telephone Collectors Association and Telephone Collectors International.
Services were held Tuesday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Mike Burdick officiating. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery on Honey Point Road, near Meredosia.
Memorials may be made to his grandchildren’s education.
