Keith EllisonKeith Ellison, 93, of Lewistown died at 4:30 p.m. July 3, 2015, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born March 13, 1922, in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, the son of Carl and Ruth Snowden Ellison. He married Betty Leng on July 7, 1946, in Victoria. She preceded him in death on Dec. 19, 1990. He later married Dottie Hunt on Feb. 13, 1994, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kathy Bloyd of Lewistown and Ruth Ann Ellison of Springfield; two stepsons, Jeffery (and Tammy) Sharp of Princeville and Gregory Sharp of East Peoria; one sister, Laura May Azbell of Ipava; two grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He farmed in the Ipava and Vermont area.

He was in the U.S. Army serving from 1943-45, TEC 5, 573rd Ambulance Company.

He was a member of United Methodist Church in Lewistown, Ipava American Legion Post 17, Ipava Masonic Lodge #213 for over 50 years, Havana VFW Post 6408 and Shriner Scottish Rite Valley of Peoria for nearly 50 years.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at his church in Lewistown with Pastor Deryck Sonaram officiating. Masonic Services were conducted Tuesday by the Ipava Masonic Lodge #213. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery with military rites provided by the Ipava American Legion Post #17. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
