Elizabeth Ellison Of Lewistown Dies

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Ellison, 65, of rural Lewistown, formerly of rural Vermont, died at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 1990, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born March 10, 1925, in North Henderson, a daughter of Robert and Mary Rice Leng. She married Keith Ellison on July 7, 1946, in Victoria. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kathy Bloyd of Lewistown and Ruth Ann Ellison of Springfield; three sisters, Evelyn Godard of Aledo, Laura Jean McNaught of Victoria and Ruth Allen of Richland, Mo.; three brothers, Robert Leng and Raymond Leng, both of Aledo, and Paul Leng of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

She was a member of the Ipava Christian Church and the Ipava American Legion Auxiliary Post.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at her church with Rev. Darrell Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Rescue Squad or to the American Cancer Society.
