Jimmy ErvinJimmy Wayne Ervin, 73, of Rushville died at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 29, 2012, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

He was born Feb. 3, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., a son of Marshall H. and Robbie V. Williams Ervin. He married Jeanne Keeling on Feb. 26, 1964, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Rick (and Cindy) Sloan of Wiggins, Miss., and Jeff (and Cindy) Ervin and Doug Ervin, both of Rushville; two brothers, Marshall Ervin of Macomb and Dennis (and Deborah) Ervin of Indianola, Iowa; one sister, Patricia (and Dick) Boyd of Rushville; and six grandchildren.

He worked at Two Rivers FS for 42 years before retirement.

He was a member of Rushville First United Methodist Church, Schuyler American Legion Post #4, Schuyler/Industry Athletic Booster Club and served on Schuyler County 708 Board.

Services were held Saturday at his church with Rev. Joe Tomich officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery where military services were conducted by U.S. Air Force Honors Detail and Schuyler American Legion Post #4. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
