George Ebbert

IPAVA — Mr. and Mrs. Sam’l Ebbert received a telegram from the War Department last week announcing the serious illness of their son, George, who was aboard the Battleship, Oregon on the way to the U.S. from the Philippines. Tuesday morning they received another dispatch announcing his death that morning. The body will be brot to Ipava for interment, probably will arrive in a week or ten days.

IPAVA — The body of George Ebbert arrived in Ipava Thursday noon. The funeral was held in the Christian church at 2:30 Friday afternoon. Elder M. T. Cooper was the officiating minister. It was a military funeral.
