He was born March 8, 1960, in San Bernardino, Calif., a son of Richard Dale and Virginia June Leonard Dwyer. He married Wanette Ann Curless on June 3, 1989, in Havana. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Laney Dayle (and Zach) Newberry of Clinton and Keegan Thomas (and Amara Clark) Dwyer of Astoria; siblings, Patty (and Kevin) Kirkbride and Rick (and Sandy) Dwyer; and one sister-in-law, Tonya (and Darryl) Holmes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Dixie Dale Dwyer, Judy Dwyer and Guy Christopher.
He worked for the Boilermakers, Local #60 for many years before working at the Clinton Power Station, Local #51, where he worked for 29 and a half years before his retirement in September of 2021. He spent time coaching his son’s JFL football team.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton with Dave Glenn officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
