She was born Sept. 1, 1919, in Marietta, a daughter of William and Bertha Anderson Hummell. She married Harold Danner on Aug. 27, 1956, in Jefferson City, Mo. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1998.
She also was preceded in death by one son, William McCamant Sr.; two brothers, Edward Hummell and Phillip Carl Dimmitt; one granddaughter, Lori Robinson; and one niece, Julie Atwater.
Surviving are one daughter, Marjorie Brown of Huffman, Texas; one sister, Imagene Atwater of Cambridge; three granddaughters, Tena (and Lewis) Lashbrook of Table Grove, Theresa McCamant of Colchester and Brenda (and Randy) Stambaugh of Astoria; four grandsons, Marlin (and Jennifer) White of Browning, Marion (and Shattea) White of Table Grove, John (and Tammy) McCamant of Colchester and William McCamant Jr. of Macomb; 14 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.
She worked at cafes in Colchester and grocery stores in Table Grove and Colchester. She also worked at The Bushnell Hammer Factory and later at McDonough District Hospital as a nurse. She was a supervisor at Western Illinois University for 10 years, retiring in the late 70s.
She was a member of Table Grove Community Church, Fulton County Home Extension, Fulton County Farm Bureau and the Table Grove Legion Auxiliary.
Services were held Monday at her church with Pastor Tim Lindsey officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
