Alexa Dailey

Alexa DaileyAlexa M. Dailey, 21, of Ipava died at 10:54 p.m. Dec. 17, 2016, at Mason District Hospital Emergency Room in Havana.

She was born Nov. 8, 1995, in Peoria, a daughter of Michael and Sue Ulmer Dailey.

Surviving are her parents of Ipava; two sisters, Heather (and Scott) Miller of Havana and Angel Dailey of Ipava; two brothers, Tyler (and Betty Morgan) Keime of Macomb and Devon Dailey of Elmwood; maternal grandmother, Martha Ulmer of Macomb; and paternal grandmother, Marie (and John) Gage of Macomb.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Duane Ulmer; and paternal grandfather, Raymond Dailey.

She was the Valedictorian of the 2014 graduating class of VIT High School. She graduated with honors from Spoon River College in 2016. She was active in plays at VIT and SRC. She was an inspiring writer and teacher.

Her goal was to become a foster parent. In her memory, the family would appreciate the donation of children’s books for ages 5 and under to be given to The Baby Fold. Donations may be brought to the funeral home.

Services were held Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Doug Krukewitt officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.

Memorials may be made to the Alexa Dailey Memorial Fund in care of the Ipava State Bank.
