Raymond DuckwilerRaymond D. Duckwiler, 52, of Astoria died at 7:45 a.m. April 27, 2009, at his home.

He was born April 12, 1957, in Canton, a son of Earl and Gloria (Hamilton) Duckwiler.

Surviving are one son, Denny Duckwiler of Astoria; three brothers, Gale (and Susan) Duckwiler and Damon, both of Astoria, and Dennis (and Lisa) Duckwiler of Winter Garden, Fla.; one half brother, Bud Duckwiler of Peoria; three stepbrothers, Leroy (and Janice) Prater and James (and Darlene) Prater, both of Sulphur, La., and Clyde Prater of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Sandra Yocum of Naperville and Carol (and Neal) Lippold of Winter Garden; and one stepsister, Brenda (and Bill) Cummings of state of Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Orin Prater; one brother, Bill Duckwiler, one half brother, Wayne Duckwiler; one half sister, Helen Colston; one stepsister, Darlene Ward; and one stepbrother, Roger Dean Prater.

He worked at Freedom Seed Company for nine years and was currently working for Briney Brothers LLC.

Services were held April 30 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Ken Peterson officiating. Inurnment was in Summum Cemetery.
