Lyle Drawve, 79, of Rushville died at 2:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Woodstock Township, Schuyler County, the son of Fred and Edna Armstrong Drawve. He married Arlys R. Myers on Dec. 30, 1945, in Burlington, Iowa. She died Jan. 17, 1996.

Surviving are one son, Kent (and Sherry) of Rushville; one daughter, Diane (and Kenny) Ward of Huntsville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A World War II Army veteran, he was a member and past commander of Schuyler American Legion Post 4 and 40et8 Voiture 1100.

He worked for Drawve Implement, Bartlow Brothers Meat Packing and retired from Oscar Mayer. He later worked at Drawve Furniture.

Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Kirkham officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery, where military services were conducted by his American Legion post.
